The bust with the severed head of the rhinoceros reveals the sculptor's idea of two sides of human activity: study and destruction. Study is associated with the desire for knowledge, while destruction arises with the manifestation of fear of the dangerous or unknown. Amputation can be an act of salvation or exploration. Here, however, the artist points to a third, predatory side of man, where anti-human violence is committed solely for the sake of killing.
