Mackerel is a gregarious thermophilic fish, forced to migrate to warmer seas, as it lives only at a temperature of 8 - 20 degrees. Through the image of the fish the artist explores the comfort zone and the human desire to be "close to the warmth and the flock", asking the spectator a philosophical question, whether it is necessary to leave the comfort zone, if it would bring a threat to life.
